観光客にとってラオスは最高の渡航先

記事によれば、European Council on Tourism and Tradeが、ラオスを最高の渡航先（観光先）に選んだということ。 

以下の項目が考慮されたらしい。 
"promotion of free and fair tourism, the safety of tourists, the facilities offered, access to sites of historical and cultural significance, investment in the preservation of historical sites, and the benefits of tourism to grassroots communities," 

ラオスには去年観光客が330万人訪れていて、年々22%ずつ増えているという。 

ラオスの人口は700万人くらいだから、1年で人口の半分が観光に来ているということ？そう考えるとすごい。町中が外国人であふれるわけだ。
